CALL FOR ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS:
All participants of the 2022 CHA Conference are warmly invited to submit article manuscripts for consideration to the Journal of the Canadian Historical Association / Revue de la Société historique du Canada. Founded in 1922, the journal publishes a selection of revised papers presented at the Canadian Historical Association annual meeting, in any field of history and in either official language. We also welcome submissions related to presenters’ broader research program rather than strictly tied to their conference paper.
The editors seek innovative contributions that open new avenues of research, place a familiar subject in a new perspective, or use innovative methodology or theory that could interest those engaged in historical research. The JCHA publishes two issues per year, and it follows an open access publishing model (completely open within 12 months of publication). Our open access policy conforms with SSHRC and other granting agencies’ requirements to publish funded research following open access guidelines.
A refereed journal, the JCHA/RSHC publishes work by academic and independent scholars as well as by historians working in the public service or the private sector. Submissions should adhere to these guidelines, and manuscripts should be between 7,000 and 10,000 words, including footnotes. The deadline for submissions to be considered for publication in 2023 is September 30, 2022.
All submissions can be made online at https://jcha-rshc.ca/index.php/jcha/about/submissions. Any questions can be sent to the editor-in-chief of the journal, Dr. Benjamin Bryce at email@example.com.
