Dans son discours pr\u00e9sidentiel de 1972, Ivo Lambi a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que la SHC devait \u00ab\u00a0convaincre notre g\u00e9n\u00e9ration actuelle que notre pass\u00e9 est in\u00e9luctablement avec nous et que, lorsqu’il est trait\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re responsable, il pr\u00e9sente des le\u00e7ons pr\u00e9cieuses pour la compr\u00e9hension du pr\u00e9sent et de l’avenir\u00a0\u00bb. C’\u00e9tait – et c’est toujours – un d\u00e9fi de taille. Peut-\u00eatre m\u00eame trop. Et pourtant, la SHC a fait un travail \u00e9norme pour soutenir et c\u00e9l\u00e9brer l’enseignement et l’\u00e9criture de l’histoire au Canada. De plus, c’est gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 vous, nos membres, que nous avons r\u00e9ussi. Avec leur permission, nous publions une liste de personnes qui sont membres depuis plus de 20 ans<\/strong>. Bien que de voir mon nom sur cette liste me porte \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, je tiens \u00e0 remercier tous nos membres pour leur soutien continu. Nous ne pourrions pas faire ce que nous faisons sans vous.<\/p>\n
