430 Patterson Hall, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1S 5B6
Did you present a paper at the CHA Annual Meeting at UBC in June?
If so, we kindly invite you to consider submitting a paper to the Journal of the Canadian Historical Association (JCHA) for publication. Should you choose to submit a paper for consideration, it should be a more developed iteration of your recent presentation at the CHA. You will find the guidelines for contributors below.
Founded in 1922 under the name of Annual Reports of the Canadian Historical Association / Rapports annuels de la Société historique du Canada, the journal publishes the best papers presented at the Canadian Historical Association annual meeting and submitted to the Editorial Board for consideration, in any field of history and in either official language. The Board seeks innovative contributions that open new avenues of research, place a familiar subject in a new perspective, or use innovative methodology or theory that could interest those engaged in historical and interdisciplinary research. A refereed journal, the JCHA/RSHC publishes work by academic and independent scholars as well as by historians working in the public service or the private sector. Submissions should be in formal article format and adhere to the guidelines set up by the JCHA. The final word count should be between 7000 and 10000 words, including footnotes.
Submission guidelines can be found at https://cha-shc.ca/english/publications/journal.
For further information about how to submit your paper, please contact the JCHA’s Managing Director, Ann Walton, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
