IHAF Petition

Let's Value Our Graduates! For a Wider Access to the Teaching Profession

The Board of Directors of the Institut d'histoire de l'Amérique française (IHAF) is launching a petition (in French) to promote access to secondary education for bachelor's degree students in history. This issue is crucial in the current context of a shortage of teachers in Quebec schools.
With this important gesture, the IHAF is extending its efforts to diversify access to the teaching profession (document in French). At a time when we are seeing a drop in enrolment (document in French) in our bachelor's degrees, it is urgent to upgrade our history programs by offering graduates interesting career paths in their field.
Thank you for helping us gather broad support! Please sign this petition and make it known in your networks: to history students, college colleagues, students and professors in other disciplines concerned: science, literature, geography, philosophy, etc.
