LAC will remove access to all public AMICUS interfaces and related services on April 2, 2019

Published on: 7 Mar 2019

On December 12, 2018, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) launched Aurora, a new interface to access LAC’s published holdings. LAC’s acquisitions, cataloguing, public access and circulation functions are now managed through OCLC’s WorldShare Management Services (WMS) rather than LAC’s former system AMICUS.

As part of its ongoing efforts to keep library communities informed during the transition away from AMICUS, LAC would like to share the following important update. As AMICUS data is no longer current, LAC will be removing access to all public AMICUS interfaces and related services as per the Question and Answer <How long will AMICUS remain available?  You will also find information about replacements for AMICUS-related interfaces.

Should you have any questions about this transition, visit the webpages below, or contact LAC at bac.servicesauxbibliotheques-libraryservices.lac@canada.ca
