I did my baccalaureate in history at Laval University in the late 70’s (major history, minor geography). It was at this time that museology was taking off in Quebec, integrating new disciplines to propel itself into the heart of public communication. The acceleration of the establishment of the network of national historic parks and the creation of new national museums at that time stimulated research and also highlighted the need to create new ways of conveying history. I then decided to shift my focus towards a dynamic approach to promote the communication of history and heritage. Mastering the historical methodology has been the key to the development of my career that spans over thirty five years.

Partner in a company specializing in cultural engineering, I put method and historical knowledge at the heart of a global approach to design cultural products (exhibition designs, heritage consulting, publishing house, …). My historical knowledge is particularly relevant in museological communication, enriching my background with new pedagogies and calling upon a set of technical and scientific disciplines.

The skills of analysis and synthesis that I have acquired during my studies have allowed me to follow in the footsteps of the philosopher and ecologist Theodore Monod in the Mauritanian desert, in the extreme north of Newfoundland at Anse aux Meadows around the Crossing the Vikings, at the Cliffs of Villers-sur-Mer in Normandy, at the Lac-la-Biche Mission in Alberta, and in hundreds of other places where I conducted studies and development projects.
