The Wilson Institute for Canadian History is pleased to announce its Visiting Scholars Program.
Need a place to write while finishing those final book chapters? Looking for an academic home while conducting research in the region? The Wilson Institute’s Visiting Scholars Program is designed for researchers at all stages in their careers – from graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to tenure-track professors and professor emeriti – who are on leave, sabbatical, or travelling for research and would benefit from a dedicated workspace while engaging with our vibrant community of scholars and graduate students.
While there is no funding associated with this position, visiting scholars will receive private office space at the Institute at McMaster University, a McMaster email account and username, and full library and archive privileges at the university. Visiting scholars will also have opportunities to mentor graduate students and junior scholars affiliated with the Wilson Institute, participate in the Institute’s academic programming, and present their work through one of our speaker series and/or brown bag events.
Interested visiting scholars should submit a CV and a cover letter outlining their research, their proposed dates, and the work they plan to undertake during their residency to wilsonch@mcmaster.ca
