In response to the Precarious Historical Instructors’ Manifesto, the CHA is organizing a series of webinars to discuss issues related to historians in precarious situations, which was endorsed by our association at our last annual meeting. The intention of the three round-tables is to open a space within the discipline itself to consider the devastating effects of the jobs crisis and the shift to occasional or short-term contracts on our members and what can and must be done. Precarious historians, in particular, speak of the structural violence of the existing job market.
You can see the webinars that have been posted on the CHA’s YouTube Channel.
