Laurie Laplanche of Laval University is the winner of the Media & Communication History Committee Prize (2015) for her essay “Le Service des émissions féminines télévisées au réseau francophone de la Société Radio-Canada (1965-1982): une histoire du genre dans les organisations.” Her essay tills new ground in the field of Quebec and Canadian media history by exploring the operation of gender relations in the domestic television production industry.
