As you will recall, following last week’s announcement about the cancellation of Congress 2026, the CHA distributed a survey to ask how the CHA should proceed for 2026.
We would like to thank each and every one of the more than 200 people who took the time to respond to the survey. The Executive has also read the 100+ comments that were submitted, and these have been formative in shaping the CHA’s decisions about 2026.
77.2% of respondents voted for an in-person 2026 conference. There was a strong preference that the conference be held during the week (71.6%) and almost no difference in preference between holding the conference in May or June (May 50.7%, June 49.3%).
To that end, the CHA will do everything in its power to hold an in-person, 3-day conference during business days in either May or June. We will also explore the possibility of offering limited hybrid formats.
In the meantime, we look forward to meeting in Toronto very soon for the CHA’s 104th conference!
